SaveCrops4EU aims to create a digital representation of cropland ecosystems, with monitoring and prediction capabilities, to enable better implementation of European sustainable agricultural practices.
Focussed on giving agricultural stakeholders key decision enabling information, this project will provide ad hoc stress indicators, phenological development and yield potential for some of the most cultivated crops in Europe.
Pre- and in-season information on crop nitrogen and water status will be used to monitor, analyse, and optimize trade-offs between land-use, environmental impact and agricultural production.
SaveCrops4EU will integrate EO-based monitoring techniques, scientific data-driven advances and a strong, goal-oriented community of public and private stakeholders.
